Today's episode looks at Turmeric, the latest fashionable supplement available in various forms from capsules to lattes. Of course it's a spice that has been used in Asian cooking for hundreds of years and it seems that in places like India where Turmeric is widely consumed rates of arthritis and dementia are lower. So there is some circumstantial evidence it's good for us.

This podcast takes a look at that evidence, but also explores whether the hype is driven by our own desire to find a simple exotic solution for our difficult lifestyle problems.
