Our resident Tiger Tamers, Ross & Ellice, are joined by the amazing Alicia Collinson, Senior Associate at Thrive Law.
Here is an introduction to our amazing guest...
Alicia is an employment law solicitor with more than five years of experience. A lot of her motivation is centred from her background and her experiences in grief; her Dad passed away after a short illness and the mental health impact that had on her, and knowing the support she would have benefitted from, is what drives her in her employer support and supporting employees.
She completed her training in London but returned to Yorkshire after her mental health deteriorated, for a better work-life balance and to spend more time with her family.

Her background is in providing employment law support to large international businesses, but Alicia loves engaging with individuals on a personal basis, particularly victims of discrimination. The opportunity to focus on this work is something that she prizes about her role at Thrive. Much of her early work came during #MeToo so she is highly passionate about supporting women and fighting for female equality at work.
Alicia also volunteers for the Maternity Action helpline and leads Thrive’s partnership with Pregnant Then Screwed in supporting new mothers in their discrimination issues. She also regularly delivers training sessions as part of the Agora Publications Mental Health Adviser Workshops, and speaks at schools about mental health and resilience.
She’s also Mum to a two year old, a passionate musical theatre fan, and a huge Disney nerd.
