Hi, we’re Carrie Overton & Nicky Shipp; welcome to The ADHD Connection – 2 ADHD coaches figuring it out together!

In each episode, we’ll be talking about how our ADHD has impacted us over the past couple of weeks – and using our skills as coaches to explore and deal with the ups, downs, highs and lows of living with ADHD. Because, let's face it: one way or another, it's a pretty eventful journey!

The ADHD Connection is, essentially, conversation between two friends; real, open, raw, authentic.

We met through singing together in a women's a cappella choir and quickly became friends as we had so much in common. We’re also qualified, practicing life coaches. Through coaching each other, we then discovered we’d both been diagnosed as adults with ADHD. That changed the focus of our conversations, and we were able to really honestly share the sort of things we were struggling with – and through the coaching and talking about our experiences, were able to help each other to feel more at ease in our own skins.

But, of course, ADHD continues to be an ‘interesting’ – aka challenging! – part of our everyday lives, and, realising recently that it’d be lovely to share our conversations with others who’re experiencing similar issues, The ADHD Connection was born!

Why Connection? Well, the wonderful Dr Ned Halliwell, who co-wrote Driven to Distraction and ADHD 2.0, calls connection “vitamin C” for ADHDers; it’s THAT important for us. We feel really lucky to be connected as friends, and we hope YOU will feel that sense of connection with US – sharing our experiences and joining us on our ADHD journey.

So subscribe to the podcast to catch every episode, and join us as we talk, share, laugh, learn from each other – and figure it out as we go!

If you enjoy our podcast, as well as subscribing please rate the show, leave us a review/comment - and feel very free to tell all your friends!
