Have you ever felt like an imposter in your own skin? Have your physical traits and appearance made you feel as if you were not good enough or didn't belong? Have you ever experienced microaggressions at the hands of people from your own race or culture? If you've ever been called a coconut, Oreo, banana, or something similar, you may know what I'm talking about.

This phenomenon may have a name. Some people call it racial imposter syndrome. In this episode I talk about racial imposter syndrome and cultural imposter syndrome and how these two are different and can affect the mental health of people of color, especially those who identify as bicultural, biracial, multiracial, multicultural, ethnically ambiguous, white-passing, and more. We talk about race, ethnicity, and how the lack of fitting neatly into a box impacts our mental wellbeing.

Tune into this episode and if let's keep the conversation going on social media.
