In this week’s episode, I answer a question that I get quite often from clients who think they are too angry. They may ask “Why am I so angry at my partner?” or “Why am I so angry at the world?” and so in this episode, I do my best to answer these questions with the theories I have and the issues I often find behind this anger. I explain a bit about anger as an emotion, the history behind it, the stigma around anger-management, and how to regulate our emotions. It can often feel that our emotions get the better of us and we take out our anger and frustration on our loved ones so in this episode, I address that and the things we can do to control our anger in a healthy manner. As a trauma-informed therapist for women of color who are daughters of immigrants, I use my unique lens to give you my perspective on why this issue may be so prevalent in our communities.
