Professor Jane Burns is Professor of Innovation and Industry at the University of Sydney. In 2010 she raised $35 million as the founder and CEO of Young and Well CooperativeResearchCentre an organisation that over its five years drove industry focused research and development to explore the role of new and emerging technology in improving wellbeing. She has a PhD in Medicine from the Faculty of Medicine (Public Health and Epidemiology) University of Adelaide. She was the 2015 Winner, Social Enterprise and Not-For-Profit Award Category, Inaugural Westpac/Financial Review 100 Women of Influence.

She has a special interest in disability care, veterans and mental health and how innovative technologies can be integrated into healthcare. We have a brief yarn discussing online platforms, apps, avatars, biometric devices, virtual reality, AI, personalised medicine implications. There was so much more to cover but this may stimulate your creative thinking in this space!
