Welcome to the Guilbault Girls Show where you will have the opportunity to hear from mothers, fathers, siblings, and individuals themselves about their journey of living with a disability.
Todays Guest is Angela Sittler, Angela is the Family Supports Manager at The Arc Northern Chesapeake Region and mom of two boys who both have differing abilities.
Angela worked in the Maryland Office for Genetic and People with Special Health Care Needs since 2011 as the family resource coordinator, until she joined The Arc NCR in April 2021 as the Family Supports manager. She received her Master’s degree in Health Science from Towson University in 2018. She has served families on her local SECAC, the Mount Washington Pediatric Hospital Family Advisory Council, and as a past member of the Maryland Caregivers Commission. In her free time, she volunteers with her local fire department.
I think the most important role Angela serves is being a mom to her two sons. Jake is (19) and has a rare syndrome called Au-Kline and John who’s almost 22 has Asperger's ADHD, and Anxiety.
As they say it takes a village, and you can help be a part of that village, simply sharing our show to the masses to spread awareness, change mindsets, and help teach others to be kind to one another.
