Brandilyn Peters-Samuelson is an epidemiologist and assistant professor at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, specialising in the role of the human microbiome and how it correlates with chronic diseases such as cancer and cardiovascular disease. In this week's episode, we discuss how these illnesses affect the gut microbiome, as well as how the menopause decreases the diversity of gut bacteria.
