80. Recommitting and Reconnecting to your Goals, Habits & Routines

This weekend on the Habit Thrive Podcast, we are waving goodbye👋 to 2023 and opening ourselves up to the possibilities of 2024!🙌

Today, on Episode #80, we will explore the concept of recommitting.💪 Recommitting to our goals, our habits, our routines and - most importantly - ourselves.🥰

Think of it as a way to reach our goals (or resolutions, if you like) by taking small🤏 daily steps.

So think🤔 about what you want to recommit to:

✅ Reaching a goal weight

✅ Finishing a marathon or race

✅ Enhancing a relationship with family or friends

✅ Learning a new skill or hobby

The list really goes on and on.

And you may have found yourself in the past sitting around on December 31st and saying something like:

This year, I’m going to lose 20 pounds.☝️

Or

This year, I’m going to read more for pleasure.📖

And that seems great. Those are wonderful goals to have!🤗

But did you ever think about the “how” of it all?🤷

How will you accomplish those goals?

Maybe in 2023, you learned some recipes🥗 that helped you start to get a little healthier, but you just fell back to takeout or less-healthy instant options too much.

You may decide to recommit to your goal by saying:

🎯I’m going to meal prep my lunches on Sundays, and I’ll commit to sticking with my healthy lunch options Monday through Friday.

Or maybe you commit to making a menu, cooking every night, and treating yourself to dinner out on Saturdays.😉

Or, you could simply start out slowly and for the month of January commit to having a glass of water🫗 first thing each morning.

Then, in February, maybe you add to that glass of water habit and have a piece of fruit🍊 with your breakfast.

And each month, you stack with that habit something new.

The little, daily changes truly do build up to big results.🫶
