Today I’m talking with Scott Strode, the Founder of The Phoenix, a Free Sober Active Community.

Scott is sharing his story of how trauma from his dysfunctional family, dyslexia and low self esteem lead to his addiction, and what he did to break the cycle. We talk about how The Phoenix came to be and all the ways that this organization is helping people recover in all 50 states, including people who are incarcerated.

Before we get started, I just have a small favor to ask. If you enjoy these conversations, it would mean the world to me if you shared this episode with a friend or subscribe to the YouTube channel. As the podcast grows, we can continue to bring on amazing guests that will help inspire you on your journey of healing.

And as always, if you need some free resources to get you started, like books, meditations, and even other recovery podcasts, you can visit soberlifeschool.com and join our monthly newsletter.

So that’s it for the intro! Please enjoy this episode with Scott Strode.
