In today’s episode, we’re diving into a topic we LOVE to talk about - pelvic health! We’re covering all things pelvic health and wellness, like what pelvic rehabilitation is, what makes up the pelvic floor, how the pelvic floor connects with and works with other major parts of our anatomy, and more.

We hear plenty of myths surrounding pelvic health and pelvic floor dysfunction on a regular basis, and there are common signs that tend to occur for our patients when they’re experiencing pelvic floor issues. While many of these symptoms are common, they are NOT normal, and you shouldn’t feel like they’re things you just have to deal with for the rest of your life!

Our bodies are a complete unit, and everything is so connected. If something is not functioning properly (like the pelvic floor), other parts of our bodies will be impacted. Ultimately, we want to educate and empower you so that you’re able to truly optimize your pelvic health and wellness, and live your best life. This episode sure is a juicy one that’s FULL of valuable information, so you won’t want to miss it!

In this episode about pelvic health 101, we cover:

  • What pelvic rehabilitation is
  • Key statistics + myths surrounding pelvic health and pelvic floor dysfunction
  • Common signs that pop up with pelvic floor dysfunction
  • What actually makes up the pelvic floor
  • What pelvic floor therapy really is
  • How our breathing, posture, and other parts of our anatomy all work together with the pelvic floor
