Taylor reviews the 2024 teen musical comedy film, Mean Girls, directed by Samantha Jayne and Arturo Perez Jr. from a screenplay by Tina Fey. It is based on the stage musical of the same name, which in turn was inspired by the 2004 film of the same name, both written by Fey, and based on the 2002 book Queen Bees and Wannabes by Rosalind Wiseman. New student Cady Heron gets welcomed into the top of the social food chain by an elite group of popular girls called the Plastics, ruled by the conniving queen bee Regina George. However, when Cady makes the major misstep of falling for Regina's ex-boyfriend, she soon finds herself caught in their crosshairs. It stars Angourie Rice, Reneé Rapp, Auliʻi Cravalho, Christopher Briney, Tina Fey, Jenna Fischer, Jon Hamm, Busy Phillips and Tim Meadows
