This week on The Quiet Life Michael speaks with Sophie Scott @sophie.b.scott , Author, Founder and Psycotherapist. In this episode we talk about leadership support and finding the balance between personal and business success.

In this episode we talk about :

  • Integrative Therapy: Tailoring multiple techniques to fit client needs.
  • Therapy Evolution: From relational interaction to psychedelics.
  • Existential Issues: Addressing isolation, meaning, death, and freedom.
  • Starting Over: Redefining identity after major life changes.
  • Processing Grief: Therapy as a tool for navigating emotional endings.

Sophie is not your typical psychotherapist. For one, her dynamic background, from running a start-up to navigating the media industry (BALANCE Magazine), has honed her empathy and relatability, crafting her into a therapist who actively engages with her clients. As a transpersonal integrative psychotherapist, Sophie supports her clients to transform the ‘shadow-y stuff’ into personal growth. Tailoring a blend of techniques, specific to that individual, from behavioral experiments, visualization, Inner Child work, mindfulness, and more. A former lecturer in developmental theory (Highgate Counselling Centre) and a steadfast advocate for psychoeducation, Sophie’s expertise extends to mentoring and coaching a diverse range of individuals, from students to CEOs, aiding them in discovering their ‘inner magic.’ Sophie completed an extensive 6-year training at CCPE and now runs a private practice in Central London. Her commitment to fostering self-awareness and transformation is evident across her career, and she is currently writing a mainstream therapy book (Watkins Media). In addition, Sophie consults for various startups in the health and wellness space.

You can find out more about Sophie on her website sophiescott.co , You can also follow along with her on Instagram @sophie.b.scott. Sophie's book 'You Are Not Alone In This: Supporting a Loved One’s Mental Health Without Losing Your Own' is available to pre-order HERE.
