Can the divine concept of oneness in marriage lead to healing and reconciliation? Join us in this heartfelt conversation with my husband, Mike, as we share our own journey of rediscovery through a marriage class at our church called Re|Engage. It's not about reiterating the class, but about sharing the transformative lessons we picked up along the way – lessons that have created a profound connection, fellowship, and ultimately, a strengthened unity in our relationship.
Navigating the complexities of love can be chaotic. But in the midst of it all, Mike and I have discovered that men and women, despite their differences, can create a harmonious balance in their relationship. We've come to understand the societal pressures to stay single and independent, but we've chosen the biblical path of unity and oneness. Moreover, we reflect on how the enemy's attack on the family can be combated - not as isolated warriors, but as a united front. Above all else, we've unearthed the power of loving like Christ, a feat only achieved by acknowledging our own shortcomings in love.
Now, let's dive into the depths of John 1:7-21 and unpack the true essence of love. We discuss how love, being of divine origin, has no room for grudges, and how it flourishes when we remain in God. We also touch on the role of love in driving out fear and fostering a healthy environment for marriage and parenting. Heading towards the end, we reflect on Psalm 139, encouraging self-examination for any hurtful or anxious thoughts. Join us in this enlightening episode and let's strive to love more like Christ in our marriages.
