"The National Academy of Medicine recommends that adults get a minimum of 0.8 grams of protein for every kilogram of body weight per day, or just over 7 grams for every 20 pounds of body weight. [1] This is probably not enough, most of the data support that the minimum amount should be close to 1,2 grams per kilogram which in pounds is 0.6 or .7 per pounds, and for athletes and older people should be closer to 1.6 per kilogram, after that amount we can’t use it. As we age unfortunately, we start eating less proteins.
For 70 kilos person, that means about 80 grams of protein each day."
