Ariane Turner love affair with the beauty industry spans two decades. While pursuing her BA in Psychology from Florida A&M University, makeup artistry was her side hustle. What was initially a means to an end, makeup not only became a creative outlet but also her conduit for making meaningful connections. Ariane loved being able to connect with her clients through touch, words of affirmation, supporting them in whatever they wanted to share, offering advice, and ultimately making them feel beautiful both inside and out.

After 10 years of working behind the scenes of some of her favorite movies and television series, she felt compelled to acknowledge the dynamic shift happening in the beauty industry. Largely due to the birth of social media, women are now aspiring to emulate false images of beauty - women who don’t even look like themselves without makeup, perfect lighting, filters and airbrushing. Individuality and the embracing of one’s beautiful nuances have been traded in for cookie cutter makeup applications that transform more than they enhance. Having had this behind the scenes experience, coupled with the fact that her daughter is now a teenager, Ariane, now more than ever, recognize the need to help redirect the narrative of beauty. No longer just a conversation about blush and bronzer, beauty must be looked at from a holistic perspective. Beauty is taking care of yourself mentally, spiritually, physically, emotionally, and yes, esthetically.
