We have yet another wonderful return guest this week with Paul Zonneveld. Last time, I had an opportunity to connect with Paul and his colleague Mieke Jacobs to discuss their book Emergent, which is an exploration of systemic intelligence, and how every system, whether naturally occurring or human made, exhibits certain qualities and patterns that you can navigate once they’re brought to your awareness. In doing so, it potentially unlocks a wealth of creativity and possibility for that system — say, an organization or a team — than was otherwise available.

Paul’s journey has found him in a new life stage known as “early elderhood” as described by Bill Plotkin’s developmental model, the “Wheel of Life.” As he embraces this transition, he shares with us the rich tapestry of his experiences, which are a testament to the importance of legacy and the art of passing wisdom to the next generation of leaders and change-makers.

His latest endeavor, The Full Download, is a program designed to impart the essence of systemic thinking through an immersive 22-day experience spread over 18 months. This initiative is not only a culmination of Paul's decades of expertise but also a gateway for practitioners to deepen their practice and navigate the complexities of modern organizational dynamics.

Those interested in leadership development or who are simply contemplating their own lives and legacies will especially resonate with this episode. Let’s settle in and hear what Paul has for us.
