I wrote this poem as a letter to myself as I was reflecting on what this summer has taught me, the healing my experiences provided. It was a moment of realisation, that I never made a wrong decision, that I was always guided, even when it didn’t appear like I was. Life is always on your side and there’s no destination to reach, only the whole essence of who you are to remember. My intention is that these words activate a glimpse of that remembrance that exists within you. The remembrance of the love that you are.

If I could place you in my heart

Never would I starve

Because the love I feel

In this new start

How it’s taught me to heal

To grow

To remember that I know

What I know

What you’ve bestowed on me

Makes my heart shout with glee

Because here we are together

Not three

Not separate

Not desperate

But to the point where we’ve finally met with our pasts

Where at last we walk out of a cage

Because we know we were born free anyway

So now I’ll bathe

In the truth

That I’ve always known what to do

Because I took myself back to the places where I grew

Without knowing who I was

Without knowing I could be all that I am

I came back to give myself permission

To release the wishing

To see what I was missing

And that I always made the right decision

Followed the knowing of each moment

Each step

Never did I neglect myself

I delved deep to come back to what is true

That I always knew

That I was always enough

That I was always love

That I know how to trust

So now with an open heart

As I’ve remembered who I am

A new start will emerge

Now that I put all of me first

And see that I deserve

To be seen, loved and heard

And from this love I choose to serve

Those who have forgotten their own worth

Be the space for their light to shine

Because sometimes

The greatest healing, is to see yourself through another’s eyes

with love,

Emma

"Your challenges are welcome here without judgement, your celebrations are welcome here without envy. Yet, if you notice yourself feeling judgemental or envious, that too, is welcome. Whether one month you’d like to talk about what’s happening at work or in your business, and the next month it’s what’s happening in your personal life, with your children, your partner, everything is welcome. All I ask is that the women and men who join this space, come with an open heart and mind, with the intention to share honestly and support the other women in this space with compassion and kindness."
