This week on Unpacked we chat with guest Joel Hubbard, Cofounder of The Art of Growth and Certified Enneagram Coach. Joel chats with us about his life and as a former pastor and his journey to becoming an enneagram coach. We chat with Joel about his work on belonging and inclusion specifically in the church. We chat with Joel about how he defines belonging, why is it important to feel a sense of belonging in our relationships, with ourselves, workplaces and communities and who’s responsible for creating a place of belonging and safety in the community. Joel explains certainty and faith in the church and the stages of growth that require a willingness to be open to. Personal stories of life-altering moments combined with a depth of wisdom in theology Joel takes us through the process of deconstruction and ultimately leaving the church.
