Today Najma's guest is Psychologist Dr Peter Lovatt, AKA Dr Dance. He spent 20 years working in university research labs and lecturing. In 2008 he set up his first Dance Psychology lab. From here he studied how movement changes the way people think, how it changes social interaction and how it changes people’s feelings. Peter is co-founder of Movement In Practice Academy, where he and his wife Lindsey offer training programmes. He was recently diagnosed with bowel cancer and used dance to help him with the whole experience from diagnosis to post surgery.

In this episode you will hear:

How he used dance to help him with the psychological aspects after being diagnosed.

How he is still using dance for recovery.

How dance brings people together socially

How dance changes the way we think
