On today's episode of Yours Mentally we talk about what art therapy is and how it helps with the betterment of one’s mental health. This episode is in conversation with Sakshi Sanghvi who is an MA in clinical psychology.

We begin the episode by asking Sakshi what art therapy is and in what ways it helps us.
We then talk about what kinds of mental health problems art therapy helps.
We also talk about the basic features of art therapy-based sessions.
We then ask her if one needs any prior experience in art to go for an art therapy session.
We then discuss if an art therapy session is a form of supplementary treatment or whether it helps in the betterment of one’s mental health alone. We talk about the amount of time it takes to make a difference generally.
We then talk about art therapy’s impact during the pandemic since the number of mental health problems has risen since then.
We also talk about how art therapy is different from regular art.
Lastly, we ask Sakshi to recommend some organizations/ psychologists that use art therapy for their clients in India.
