Are you working on your inner child?

If you haven’t started doing that yet, you are probably working on the wrong things when you are trying to lose weight.

Signs You May be Operating from a Wounded Child

1 || Immaturity

This is the number one cause of emotional eating and it is a sign that growth needs to happen.

2 || Driven to be an Over-Achiever

You can either be really, really on, or you are very off in your ability to stick to a work out and diet plan. You always believe that you are inadequate when not “on” so you constantly criticise yourself and try to forcefully control your inner child.

“If only I could be that perfect with weight loss, everything would be perfect.”

3 || You Tend to Feel Resentment

You are frustrated constantly and resent yourself. You are full of regret and can hate your body and where you currently are in your journey. You are constantly prompted to eat food, but don’t really have any emotions towards it. Your emotions in general seem repressed, you just have food cravings.

These are all signs that you need to do some inner work. There are deeper reasons to why you do this to yourself, and it can be changed.

Human beings are meant to be emotional.

4 || Very Reactive about your Weight

Do you have intense anxiety when you see your weight on the scale or photos of yourself? You try to lose weight from a frantic energy and it is an emotional rollercoaster.

If you lose your shit over two pounds, there is some work to do on your inner, wounded child.

It’s time to start working on healing & developing a dialogue. You need to think of weight from an adult mindset, not your wounded, inner child. You can do the deep inner work.

That is your missing piece to weight loss. Not the right challenge. Not the right diet plan. Mindwork.
