Beka Clayton was pregnant with her second baby. She was in great health, she was glowing, she was blooming into the most beautiful flower you’d ever seen, she felt exuberant, she felt like a goddess growing life. It was perfect even with the pain. She was so close to completing her family, but life had other plans. 18 weeks and 6 days pregnant. The gestation Beka was with her second baby, when she knew something was wrong. She hadn’t felt movement in a few days and could not find his heartbeat on the Doppler anymore. It took her 3 more days to convince herself to call her doctor. At her appointment, the doctors confirmed what Beka had known all along: her baby had died earlier that week.
This episode of The Lavender Fix - Podcast features Beka Clayton, from central Florida, who’s here to talk about her pregnancy loss journey, what helped her make peace with her loss, and how she’s using her personal journey to spread awareness about pregnancy loss and miscarriages, while supporting other mammas who’ve had a similar experience.
