We get together every day to lift our spirits to a higher frequency so we can better our lives. So we can create the life we want, for ourselves and for those we care about.

Author Ralph Marston said “Don't lower your expectations to meet your performance. Raise your level of performance to meet your expectations. Expect the best of yourself, and then do what is necessary to make it a reality.”

Expectations are powerful. They influence how you deal with your life on a daily basis and your responses to what happens to you. We can use this fact to live better lives if we’re consistent.

I like to say, if you expect nothing from life, that’s exactly what you’ll get. We’ll look deeper into expectations in today’s daily reflection.

And on that note let’s set our expectations for the day.

Many people have learned not to have expectations, especially when dealing with other people. They have such a long history of disappointments and failures that they’ve given up on expecting anything at all.

Weekly affirmation

Each week I'll give you an affirmation to use. I'll remind you every day to keep using it. The more you use it, the more effective it will be.

Here's the affirmation for this week

"I have the strength and wisdom I need to handle anything."

Maybe you don’t like meditation or feel it does nothing for you. How about you try it anyway, just for fun? It’s short. Maybe it’ll help you.

Guided meditation can help effortlessly focus your mind on those things you need to change to improve your life.
