In this episode, I talk with Dr. Clarence V. Spicer - a Social Psychologist, father and professor. We dig into concepts like explicit and implicit bias, internalized racism, Jim Crew, desegregation, the “one drop role” and how we have managed to navigate racism. I HAD to speak with Dr. Spicer, as someone who grew up in Jim Crew, marched in the Civil Rights Movement and studied the Psychology of Prejudice & Discrimination… he is an expert on race. Listen to hear what it’s been like for two individuals - a Boomer & Gen Z from two extremely different backgrounds - to navigate racism.
