Meet Malcom Evans and Yusuf Bin-Rella, two inspiring guests whose life’s work is focused on using the power of agriculture and food for positive transformation. They also happen to capture the growing presence of BIPOC leaders in the Midwestern ag space. Malcom Evans, Director of Farming at Urban Growers Collective in Chicago, shares how being exposed to farming as a kid changed his life’s path and how he is using his passion for agriculture to impact Chicago’s inner city communities today. Then, we travel from Illinois to Wisconsin where chef and co founder of Trade Roots Farms, Yusuf Bin-Rella is changing the food and farming landscape. Yusuf ‘s mission is to engage BIPOC communities in all that he does, from cooking to gardening.
