You are in for a real treat with today's guest, Stephen Panus. He's a husband, father, bereaved father, and so much more. He wrote an amazing book that comes out on April 16, 2024, "Walk On." This is not your typical story of child loss. Stephen shares bits of his son, Jake's, tragic passing in August 2020, but he also weaves in the story of how he's keeping Jake's legacy alive as well as incredible quotes and spirituality in a way that is very unique. This book isn't only for bereaved parents. This book is for everyone on the journey of life because there is wisdom and nuggets for everyone.
In our conversation, we talked about a lot of the quotes and inspiration in the book, and so much more.

  • The dual meaning of "Walk On"
  • How Stephen moved from survival to finding meaning after his son's passing
  • The first time he felt joy after Jake's passing
  • How Stephen is helping to pass the baton to other young men and women in Jake's honor
  • Various signs he's received from Jake (some of these are very unique!)
  • How he was inspired by the life of Viktor Frankl
  • The qualities we need to source from within when we go through life-changing experiences
  • How finding Gratitude, Grit and Grace helped him on his healing path
  • The concept of "Vigilant Mercy" and how it impacted his marriage
  • How he found his purpose after Jake's passing
  • The difference in how he and his wife have grieved Jake's passing

Stephen's book will be featured as Good Morning America's "Buzz Pick" on Saturday, April 20th! I highly encourage you to get a copy of "Walk On." You can thank me later 😊
