After being trolled on Instagram for talking about the anti-diet movement and being told that I am promoting an unhealthy lifestyle, I thought it was important to bust this myth.
In this episode I talk about:
- The reasons why diets aren’t healthy
- They don’t work in the long term
- They can cause a “binge & restrict” cycle when it comes to healthy behaviours
- They can cause psychological damage
- They cause us to lose touch with our body’s natural regulation mechanisms when it comes to food
- The fact that you can’t tell how healthy someone is by looking at them
- How being anti-diet actually improves healthy behaviours
- My personal experience with being anti-diet
