In this show, we turn the mic over to Dr. Beverly Whipple, an award-winning, internationally-known sexual health researcher. She’s one of our favorite sex researchers and she was very generous about her time so we devoted this entire episode to her and her work. Dr. Whipple is professor emerita at Rutgers University, a sex researcher, co-author of The G Spot and Other Recent Discoveries about Human Sexuality, and a leader in our field. She spoke about her research on female ejaculation, orgasms, spinal cord injuries, and STIs (sexually transmitted infections). She referred to a policy paper, the Benefits of Sexual Expression, published by Planned Parenthood and her book about the G spot which was originally published in 1981 and has been translated into 23 languages. She’s written numerous research articles and books and has taken leadership positions in many national and international organizations devoted to sexual health. She has spoken in 98 countries so far -- you can find out more about Dr. Whipplehere. She also referenced Dr. Mitch Tepper’s work and one of his books. You can check out the huge array of resources he’s published on his website here. If you’ve got more questions related to Dr. Whipple’s contributions to the field of human sexuality, please write us.
