This episode features Rick Chamney as an expert in physical rehabilitation for performers in the arts and athletes in sports for more than 25 years, his career has allowed him to follow his passion. He’s developed artistic athletes with organizations like Cirque du Soleil, as well as individual and performance team athletes from dozens of sports. Rick started his career with Cirque du Soleil as a part of the Mystere show in Las Vegas, His career spanned stints with resident shows in Vegas and touring shows through Europe and Japan, and finally the headquarters in Montreal where he became the Director of the Medicine and Rehabilitation. After leaving Cirque, he moved to Zurich and focused on being a stay at home dad, one of the most challenging and rewarding experiences of his adult life. Most recently he’s gone back into the world of his passion and has begun to teach as a guest lecture for a Master of Sports Administration program in Lausanne, as well as consulting with artistic athletes from all over Europe. He is dedicated to developing teams, finding and maximizing human connection with confidence and humility, and sharing knowledge to save or develop another person’s career. He’s lived an eclectic life and his story is well worth a listen.
