Kim Clora chose the latter path after losing her mother to breast cancer in 2005. "I was the meanest thing walking," Kim candidly shares, describing her initial response to grief. "I was mad at God. I was mad at everybody that was happy. I was mad at everybody that was sad." With remarkable vulnerability, she reveals how losing her mother—her greatest supporter and advocate—left her feeling like "a motherless child" for the first time, struggling to function in a world that kept spinning while hers had stopped.
