We’ve all heard about the 5 stages of grief, but it’s very different when it comes to grief involved with narcissistic abuse.
Initially, there’s that sense of shock and dissonance when we’re putting 2+2 together, followed by feeling driven to uncover the truth. Then the outrage hits as we realize how badly we were lied to and manipulated. So what naturally follows is depression and anxiety.
Although it’s normal to experience depression and anxiety at this stage of the journey, you really want to avoid getting stuck in that stage because it can suck all the color out of your days and control your life.
It’s no way to live.
After what you’ve been through you deserve the victory of feeling light-hearted and hopeful!
Pour yourself a cup of tea, get comfy and let’s talk about what’s going on in this stage and how to get to the other side of it with a renewed sense of hopeful expectation of good things to come in your life.
