Teri Toledo, doctor of Oriental Medicine from the Integrative Acupuncture and Healing Center in Deland, Florida, joins me to discuss the benefits of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the advantages of using both Eastern medicine and Western Medicine in a comprehensive approach to creating balance in the body. We examine how both philosophies have their contributions in creating wellness and how the insurance system is finally beginning to recognize some Eastern therapeutic modalities as advantageous in treating the roots of disease.
In addition to her training in Oriental Medicine, Teri has been a Registered Nurse since 1995 and still actively works in emergency medicine in the Florida hospital system.
Teri is a graduate of the Florida College of Integrative Medicine, with a Masters of Science Degree in Oriental Medicine and a Bachelor's Degree in Professional Health Studies. Teri is a NCCAOM board certified Diplomate of Oriental Medicine.
