Do you lift for BJJ? But How strong are you? Strength testing is key in knowing where you are at and set the bar to measure if your training is being effective? You have done all the work in the weight room but have you actually gained strength on certain exercises? JT & Joey unpack a couple of different approaches to doing some consistent testing and how to go about it. You need to make sure you warm up specifically for the lifts you are testing. There is a real difference between upper body and lower body so there are different strategies you need to follow to get the most out of your deadlift compared to your weighted chin up. Having a good method of testing is key to checking in on your progress in the gym, but do you need to lift your max? Isn't that kinda dangerous? The boys give an easy way to test yourself without risking injury. Do you test your max strength for BJJ?
