Bustin' Out of Breast Cancer
New Episodes are released Wednesdays at 7:00 am EST

EP 161-Straight Talk with Virginia Carnesale
Virginia Carnesale, founder and CEO of Stage, is a breast cancer survivor, wellness enthusiast, and information activist who is on a mission to create a community and shopping destination around breast cancer. During Virginia’s journey battling Stage II breast cancer, which included chemotherapy, radiation, and multiple surgeries, she was shocked to realize that the breast cancer conversation only happened every October.
Virginia’s cancer journey was a turning point that gave her a new purpose and opened her mind and heart to the possibility of using her extensive experience in areas of retail management, marketing, merchandising, and e-commerce to help other women navigate through their own cancer journey. She wanted to pay it forward to women who may lack access to information and support and made it her mission to provide knowledge, community, a sense of levity, headscarves – and everything in between. Post-treatment, Virginia brought Stage to life in February 2022 – to see the modern woman through this uniquely personal journey.
Important topics in this episode:

● That she preserved her eggs prior to treatment

● The organization that she gives back to for fertility preservation-The Chic Mission
● How she went with an all-female team

● Her tips to those newly diagnosed with breast cancer
