She has also covered every Canadian Federal election since 1997, and every Olympic Games since 2006. She covered the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II in 2012, and the royal weddings of Prince William and Catherine Middleton, and Prince Harry and Meaghan Markle.

"On the ground, when you're doing these things, and you're driving through these cities...and check points.. and there's insurgents behind every cover in your brain, but you think, I am on my way to a school right now to interview a bunch of girls who are brave enough to go to school under these circumstances, so I am brave enough to go to their school and talk to them, so that Canadians can see... there is hope, even in Afghanistan at it's darkest Taliban days - there is hope."
