In this first ever episode of getting dirty we will introduce ourselves and let you know who we are and why we are passionate about obstacle races. So what are obstacle races? You may already know but just in case, we will explain what they are and why thousands of people show up at these events. After we explain, you will soon realize that YOU can do these. No matter how intimidating they may appear to be.

With each show, we’ll tell you about upcoming events, how we’re training for them, and hopefully encourage you to participate. In the future we hope to bring you interviews with event coordinators as well as other people’s stories who can share their love of obstacle racing.

So welcome aboard, it’s time to get dirty.

What are Obstacle Races?

  • It’s a running event that combines distance running with obstacles thrown in.
  • They range from 5k (3.1 miles) fun runs to gruelling 13+ mile endurance challenges.
  • Some people do it to be competitive.
  • Some people do it just for fun with costumes.

Why we do it?

  • How did you get interested in obstacle racing?
  • What’s been your biggest challenge so far?
  • What would be the one tip you would offer people who have never raced before?
