This week we accomplished our longest distance interview ever – almost 8000 miles away to Dubai – to talk with Diego Centeno, the Senior Advisor of the Dubai CrossFit Championship. You have probably heard a lot about the Dubai CrossFit Championship in the past few weeks, since it’s the first officially sanctioned CrossFit event to be added to the new CrossFit Games qualifying structure (and because the official list of qualifying athletes was just posted!). We chat with Diego about the history of the event, why Dubai is the perfect city for an event like this, and why this competition is about much more than just exercising really fast.
Diego Centeno is a business development consultant presently residing in Dubai- United Arab Emirates, home to DRC Partners Consulting and advising companies such as The Dubai CrossFit Championship on brand alignment strategies, adding new revenue streams and securing funding from both public/ private sector.
Diego Centeno is originally from Austin, Texas and has over 12 years of experience in the CrossFit® Industry.
