In this Episode we discusss Omarie's journey of suffering with Body Dysmorphia Disorder (BDD) to starting a 365 day campaign called #inthefaceofBDD where he shares a picture of his face everyday for a year to stand up to his disorder and to help others to become aware of it and get help too. Watch this video to understand what BDD is like for those who suffer with it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kNrxksPbgUg The term Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD) describes a disabling preoccupation with perceived defects or flaws in appearance. It can affect both men and women, and makes sufferers excessively self-conscious. They tend to check their appearance repeatedly and try to camouflage or alter the defects they see, often undergoing needless cosmetic treatments. Onlookers are frequently perplexed because they can see nothing out of the ordinary, but BDD causes devastating distress and interferes substantially with the ability to function socially.
