Do you feel like it’s almost impossible to find that “one” to spend your life with? It can be overwhelming in this day and age and the pandemic is not helping things either. Whether you are in the dating game or looking to get into it, it’s oftentimes an overwhelming place.

In this episode, I sit down with Kiaundra Jackson who specializes in relationship therapy. We discuss setting clear standards from the get-go in a relationship and how to spot red flags and not sugar coat them. We also discuss the things that truly matter in a relationship and how to get past the shallow things that in the long run do not matter.

We talk about knowing who you are and knowing what season you are in and what specifically you are looking for in a relationship. Approaching it with this knowledge is so helpful to then determine whether you should even entertain someone. On the flip side of that, we talk about how often there are people we can easily discount for small reasons but who maybe we need to not shut the door on them.

--

Topics Discussed:

  • Dealing with the fear of being alone forever.
  • Why you should never settle in a relationship.
  • The importance of knowing yourself in a relationship.
  • Coming to the understanding of what really matters in a relationship.
