In this episode, our guest is Angelica Heredia, (Indian Child Social Services) ICSS Program Coordinator at Southern Indian Health Council, who specializes in child welfare and is well-versed in the Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA).

The Indian Child Welfare Act was enacted in 1978 in response to the high rates of Native American children being removed from their families and placed in non-Native homes. This law recognizes the unique political status of Native American tribes and aims to protect the best interests of Native American children by promoting their cultural identity and connections to their tribes.
In this episode we have a new host, Lisa Murphy adding her great vibe to the podcast.

We appreciate your support and hope you enjoy the episode!
