Sobriety is sanity from any symptomatic compulsive behavior. Emotional sobriety is sane living from the insanity of reactive, impulsive obsessive thoughts central to acting out in all the varied symptomatic forms of addiction.
To think all that is happening is only what we think is to think thoughts are reality, truth, and always right. To fight for the right of wrong imagines chronic focus will have thought and our seeming self turned into the truth of reality. It is not sane to set this collision course up and blame life for becoming impossibly complicated.
Thinking is not our problem until it is mistakenly chosen as our only source, our only choice and all we can do and thus all we must be. This is not true. Lies have no basis in reality so entertaining them has is sickly think we can turn our back to reality. We are allergic to lying and so react abnormally and mental disorders reflect thinking that is out of order that reflects our out of order behaviors.
Reality and Truth do not change. It is our experience that suffers when we think reality and truth rely on our changing thoughts. This form of thought feels disconnected and alone and suggests we can’t, won't, or aren't imagining that it is thinking disconnected from reality that we feel.
These concessions in thought are not always welcome but that does not mean the door is not open.
Honesty does not require waiting to say the right thing. Honesty accurately assesses what is right or wrong. We know the difference. We would not struggle with feelings of guilt or shame if we didn’t know better than we think. Our nature is natural.
Consider this: if we can make believe we are not doing what we are doing then we can easily think we have nothing to do with that which is happening. The flip side of this is to begin to recognize that we don’t have to think we’re doing what we’re doing to be making what is happening - happen.
Free will is the right to choose to think what we want. This means we want what we think and the effects we create. This does not make what we think right.
The ability to respond is considerate, accountable and responsible. Reactivity is an automated defense against our practical ability to be honest. Lies rely on defense. Honesty does not make more or less of things. The weight we bear is the matter we make.
To freely choose to feel condemned and think we have nothing to do with it is insane. Cause manifests effects. Having thoughts wrong about reality is as discomforting as it is disturbing - for perfectly good reason. To think we are victims of these effects is how the lie of addiction works: everything seems backward. This is not a coincidence but the direct consequence of lying.
Principles don’t change while obsessive thoughts about reality, truth, and life always change while charging ahead in reverse as

We Know We Know.
We Are Aware We Are Aware.
We Are as We Are.
Reality is unlimited. Nothing can be added or subtracted to or from It. The idea we create it suggests otherwise. Acting on such thoughts is behaving out of order. Anxious and systemic disorders reflect this attempt to reverse the natural order. Disease is the lack of ease created and maintained by such activities.
Sharing principles affirms and confirms our indivisibility. We can choose desperation while our collective unchanging essence is inspiration.
Sparks of enlightenment reveal the Ever Present Shadowless Knowing Light of Inspiration’s Wisdom we aptly call brilliance.
