Today I’m bringing you a unique combination of lighthearted comedy coupled with relevant and relatable messages focused on middle age. Joining me is Sarah Stenton, a woman in her fifties, menopausal, and on a good day, someone who can pass for a happy, confident woman. On a bad day, well that’s another story. Sarah is also a writer, a speaker, a natural comedian, and an educator.
Discussion Points:

  1. Sarah’s writings and how they are all about trying to fight back against menopause and middle age madness by using laughter and real-life stories to bring light to the topics and challenges so many of us face.
  2. Sarah shares her personal journey and how it led her to write a blog and a book focused on tackling menopause with humor and authenticity.
  3. Exploring why Sarah decided to talk about stuff like chin hairs, unexpected farting, hair thinning, fat rolls, and leaking bladders.
  4. Sarah's move to an in person stand- up act she calls the “Meno tours” where she invites in groups of mostly women to talk about and laugh at the challenges of menopause in a fun and humorous way.
  5. Sarah and Marianne talk about pushing past nerves and imposter syndrome and just doing the thing.
  6. Sarah shares a bit of her witty poetry.
Don’t forget to check out Sarah’s blog on Facebook or grab a copy of her book Middle Age Madness.
