Do you ever catch yourself doubting your own judgment? Or maybe hiding parts of who you truly are—your emotions, your beliefs, or ideas—just to blend into the crowd or keep the peace?
Most often, it begins in childhood. Maybe the adults in your life didn't meet your needs very well so you felt unloved or insignificant. Or you grew up in an unpredictable or chaotic environment, so you learned to hide your true self to avoid conflict or pain.
So you learned to mute your feelings, disregard your needs, and question your self-worth.
Whatever it stemmed from, it's a destructive pattern. And it's a survival tactic that causes us to turn off one of our deepest powers.
