In contrast to mentorship where help is provided by an expert, in peer-to-peer support ALL peers are equally qualified.

Much evidence support that peer support is a critical and effective strategy for ongoing healthcare + sustaining behavior changes for people living with chronic situations or healthcare needs. Its benefits can be extended to the community, organizational & structural levels.
