“Peptides have helped a lot of patients who were feeling stuck to get to that extra 10% of wellness.” - Dr. Jen Pfleghaar
Peptides are chains of around four to fifty amino acids that work with your body, turning on and off genes. Our bodies naturally produce several peptides, like insulin and oxytocin, and because of how they work, they are mostly considered to be quite safe. Lately, peptides have become popular within the biohacking community because of their wide range of applications and relative safety compared to conventional medications.
Today I’m excited to be joined by Dr. Jen Pfleghaar to talk about the benefits of peptides and how they can benefit those with thyroid and autoimmune conditions. Dr. Jen Pfleghaar is a double board-certified physician in Integrative Medicine and Emergency Medicine. She is very passionate about helping patients with chronic disease and teaching them to let the body heal itself.
In this conversation, Dr. Jen and I discuss the role of peptides in thyroid health, benefits for autoimmune conditions, the use of specific peptides for managing inflammation and supporting patients with mold exposure and stealth infections, how peptides can be a part of your stress management strategy, the importance of high-quality sourcing for peptides, broader implications for health and longevity, and more. Enjoy the episode!
