On this episode of the Solid Podcast, Brandon Neil and Jeff Fieldstad welcomed special guest Michelle Tanner, a city council member and nurse practitioner from Southern Utah. Michelle discussed a range of topics from politics to family to education for children, and encouraged listeners to get involved in local government. She also shared her own story of how she ended up in politics, and her experience of being terminated for not following an unjustified mandate.
Michelle also discussed the importance of transparency in government and how public safety should be the top priority in a budget. She also shared her thoughts on politics being a volunteer position, and the balance between allowing people who may not have financial success to have an opportunity to serve. Michelle also discussed the idea of intentional effort in building relationships, particularly with God.
