You’re walking the floor today at the office and notice several employees are on their cell phones either talking, reading, or shopping. They’re so engrossed in their activity that they don’t realize that you the boss are looking directly at them as you pass by. You’ve discussed this behavior repeatedly at biweekly staff meetings and even during one-on-ones.

So, today you think to yourself, “Enough is enough”. Production has been suffering of late and upper management wants a plan from you to address how to get production back on track. I’m tired of being constantly challenged on this issue. Thus, it will be tough love for a time going forward.

In this webinar, we discuss another culprit who was challenging authority. The gentleman was wealthy, clever, and astute. He even had great leadership capabilities because he amassed 250 community leaders to support his cause. And what was his cause? To challenge two gentlemen that God had put in charge over the Israelites.

The moral of the story for us? Be careful who you act toward as a challenger when your actions indicate you’re a rulebreaker. For you never know how much support from senior leadership that champion may actually have. In the case of this challenger, he was swallowed up, literally.
