In this episode of the Supersonic Hospitality Marketing podcast, Mark McC chats to Gavin Adair, the CEO of Rosa's Thai restaurant chain. Gavin shares his experience of opening a new Rosa's Thai location in Glasgow and discusses the positive feedback they have received so far. He also talks about the revitalization of the area where the restaurant is located, with other businesses opening nearby.

The discussion then shifts to the overall performance of Rosa's Thai and the challenges faced by the restaurant industry. Gavin reveals that despite the difficulties faced by many businesses, Rosa's Thai has been performing well and exceeding expectations. Gavin attributes their success to the quality of their food and the efficient operations of their kitchens.

The conversation delves into Gavin's background and how he transitioned from being a chartered accountant to working in the hospitality industry. He shares his journey from working as a finance director at Gondola Group to joining Mark Selby and Tommy Miah in launching Burrito Mama and DF Mexico. Gavin expresses his passion for the restaurant industry and his desire to be a hands-on doer rather than an advisor.

Gavin reflects on the importance of relationships and the supportive culture at Oaxaca, where he previously worked. He emphasises the value of common sense and understanding what makes people tick in order to succeed in the industry. Overall, the episode provides insights into Gavin's career trajectory and the success of Rosa's Thai as a restaurant chain.
