What really makes us happy? Is it a big house, lots of money, marriage and children? Not necessarily. Yet so many of us base what we do upon the ‘stories’ we tell ourselves of what we think should make us happy without paying attention to whether these things actually do make us happy day-to-day.

Our Guest on this weeks episode is Professor Paul Dolan, a behavioural scientist and author of the bestselling books Happy Ever After: A Radical New approach To Living Well and Happiness By Design: Finding Pleasure and Purpose in Everyday Life. He believes that happiness is in the small stuff, in our daily routines, it's actually not that complicated.

We were mesmerised by his wit and insights! We discover happiness simply lies in what we choose to pay our attention to and what we choose to ignore. We explore societies, stories and narratives and how they may push us to chase career paths that might actually be bad for us.
